After undergoing surgery on the last day, 2, José Luiz Datena had to undergo a new procedure. The presenter had been discharged on Saturday, the 4th, but had to rush back to the hospital, after bleeding in the perineum region, close to the lower part of the abdomen.

According to columnist Flávio Ricco, the second surgery was a success, but for her full recovery, Datena remains admitted to the ICU at Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo. O Estadão contacted the institution to obtain more up-to-date information about the journalist’s health status: “We have not had a request for a medical report made by this patient. Without him making this request, we are unable to provide information about the patient”, they responded in a note.

After carrying out her first surgery, on the 2nd, Datena reassured her fans about her health status through her social networks. The presenter gave details of how the procedure was carried out, which was a correction of a surgery carried out six months earlier: “First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your messages. I underwent surgery to correct a previous surgery, which was carried out six months ago”.

This is not the first health problem that Datena has had in recent times. Last year, the communicator had to undergo two heart surgeries to place stents, a mechanism that treats clogged arteries and prevents aneurysms from rupturing.
