After being hospitalized for a skin infection, the former president of the republic, Jair Messias Bolsonaro (PL), canceled his trip to the municipality of Dourados. The information was confirmed by the party’s municipal president, Lieutenant Portela, this Tuesday (7).
Previously, Bolsonaro’s agenda included his participation in Expoagro, an agricultural exhibition fair in Dourados, 225 kilometers from Campo Grande, on May 14th and 15th.
The former president also canceled other agendas for the month of May due to his health conditions.
“All of Bolsonaro’s schedules for the month of May have been canceled so that he can recover promptly. Therefore, we are canceling the event in Dourados and as soon as we have a new date we will let everyone know”, explained Portela.
Hospital discharge
Bolsonaro was discharged from hospital last Saturday (4), after being admitted to treat a skin infection, in Manaus.
He arrived in the capital of Amazonas on Friday (3), already in discomfort, being treated at a private hospital in the city, which diagnosed a case of erysipelas, the same bacterial infection that affected him in November 2022, after the defeat. in the presidential elections.
What would the agenda be like in Dourados?
It was expected that Bolsonaro would arrive at Ponta Porã Airport at around 1 pm, from where he would continue to Dourados. The starting point of the motorcade was Antenor Martins Park, in Jardim Florida.
Also included in the agenda was participation in a cavalcade of knights, a meeting with rural producers and a speech by the former president with the public, in the concert arena.
