According to the British newspaper DailyMail, the couple were forced to make Kate Middleton’s condition public because the royal family’s press office was contacted by a journalist who was already aware of the princess’s diagnosis.
After the journalist got in touch, it was not revealed which vehicle he was from, the Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton, along with her team, thought it best to make the diagnosis public, so the public would know from them. And the couple decided to do this with the video in which Kate herself spoke about what she is facing.
It is also unknown how the journalist in question discovered the princess’s diagnosis. One possibility is that the information was leaked by an employee at The London Clinic, where the princess is undergoing treatment in England. But these are just speculations, it has not been revealed who leaked the information.
When opening up about her diagnosis, Princess Kate said she was shocked by the discovery. She said: “This has of course come as a huge shock, and William and I are doing everything we can to process this and deal with it privately for the sake of our family. As you can imagine, it’s taking a while. It is taking time for me to recover from major surgery and even begin my treatment. But more importantly, it’s taking time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them. And assure them that I’ll be fine. As I told them, I am doing well and getting stronger every day, focusing on what will help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit. Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and security as well. Just like the love and support I have received from so many of you! It means a lot to us.”
Despite having made the video talking about her condition, the princess and the Prince William They are choosing to withdraw into themselves and not make public appearances. Part of the royal family, including King Charles III, were present at Easter mass in Windsor, England, but William and Kate did not attend, as did their three children: Prince George, 10 years old, Prince Louis, five years old, and Princess Charlotte, eight years old. The family would be spending this date at their country house to focus on the princess’s recovery.
