The SELT Gym was a scene of joy and inclusion this Wednesday, the 27th, during the traditional Easter of the Conquista Association of People with Disabilities. The event brought together those who attended the institution, who were able to celebrate the date with various activities and lots of fun.
The program began with the distribution of cotton candy and also face painting. Afterwards, those in attendance received boxes of chocolates donated by Força Azul de Lavras – FAL.
The highlight of the party was the Easter egg hunt. The joy was contagious and the atmosphere of fraternization was evident.
“It is very gratifying to see the smile on our children’s faces”, said Sebastiana Custódio Alves, mother of Ana Carolina, a student assisted by the Project. Lislene Sacramento, mother of another student, was also very happy. “This party is a moment of unity and celebration, and motivates us to continue participating more and more in the project.”
The Conquista Project is 100% funded by the Municipal Government of Lavras through the Municipal Secretariat for Social Development and Citizenship. According to the Secretary responsible for executing the project, Marlene Ferreira Silva, this is a bond-strengthening service, which also aims to include these young people in society.
The initiative is an example of how joining forces can provide moments of joy and inclusion for people with disabilities.
