Seeking to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the technology area, several initiatives are offering free training opportunities for those who wish to enter or improve in the job market.

Santander Universities offers 75 thousand software development scholarships throughout Brazil through Santander Bootcamp 2024. With four educational tracks available, including game creation, Backend language with Java, AI fundamentals and a preparatory course for AWS Certification, the The program will prepare participants for the challenges of the job market in the technology area. Registration can be made until April 8th through the Santander Open Academy platform, with 30% of places reserved for women and 50% for black and brown people.

There will be an individual performance ranking within the program, in which the three best placed will win cash prizes, a notebook and access to Talent Match, the hiring platform that “connects great talents with the best vacancies on the market”.

– In four years of operation, we have trained thousands of people to work in different areas of the IT market. Anyone can apply for a scholarship, just be over 18 years old and have a strong desire to learn new programming languages. It is another Santander Universidades initiative that trains professionals for new markets, leaving them ready to work in any segment of technology – says Marcio Giannico, executive superintendent of Santander Universidades in Brazil.

Dio, a startup specializing in education, in partnership with Squadio, a recruitment company, launched a boot camp complete and free aimed at tech professionals interested in working with Python for Data. With 65 hours of content, the course enables participants to manipulate and present data over the course of 12 weeks. 10,000 free scholarships are available, and registration is open until April 15th. At the end of the trail, graduates will have their certificates available on the platform.

Rio de Janeiro City Hall offers 2,500 free places on IT for Business and Mobile Programming courses in the city’s Youth Spaces, aimed at people aged between 15 and 29.

With monthly classes and certificate of completion, the courses aim to prepare young people for professions of the future, with a focus on technology and innovation. Registration can be made until March 28th, and classes will be held in morning, afternoon and evening shifts, from April 1st to 30th.
