Right-back Wesley Gasolina, from Cruzeiro, used the social network X (formerly Twitter), this Saturday (27), to vent. “I can’t understand anything else, it’s not possible!!!”, he wrote. Moments later, the player deleted the post after some reactions from Cruzeiro fans.
At 3:23 pm, Gasolina made another outburst, this time against the fans’ reactions to his first post. “That’s it, I can’t post anything else that you already think is about Cruzeiro!!”.
It is not known whether the player’s initial outburst was related to the match this Sunday (28), at 4pm, at Mineirão, against Vitória, for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship.
Gasolina was selected as a starter by coach Fernando Seabra in the game on Tuesday (23), in Concepción, Chile, against Unión La Calera, in the third round of Group B of the Copa Sudamericana. The coach’s intention was to spare the starter William, who was only used in Wesley’s place 20 minutes into the second half.
Previously, Seabra had already selected Gasolina as a starter in the 3-3 draw with Alianza, at Mineirão, in the second round of Group B of the Copa Sudamericana. In the Brasileirão, the coach did not list him for the classic with Atlético, in the third round, and left him on the bench against Botafogo and Fortaleza.
Throughout the year, Wesley Gasolina played in 11 games for Cruzeiro, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
Against Vitória, William will once again be a starter on Cruzeiro’s right flank. The team needs the victory over the Bahians to calm the spirits of the fans, who have been protesting a lot against Ronaldo’s management at SAF.
