António Oliveira struggles to find the ideal Corinthians team

Corinthians finished preparing for the match against Fluminense, this Sunday, at 4pm (Brasília time), at the Neo Química Arena, in the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship.

In training held this Saturday morning, at CT Joaquim Grava, coach António Oliveira promoted tactical work to make the final adjustments to the team that should start the match. There were also repetitions of offensive and defensive set pieces.

Defender Gustavo Henrique, recovered from dengue, did the first part of training with the group and then returned to the inner part of the CT for an activity in the gym. In the images released by the club, it is not possible to know whether Igor Coronado trained with the squad.

António Oliveira should change four positions in relation to the team that faced Argentinos Juniors in midweek. Carlos Miguel should be in the starting lineup instead of Cássio, who should be preserved and even stay out of the list of related players.

Matheus Bidu should take Hugo’s position on the left flank, while Breno Bidon could start in Fausto Vera’s place. Another change should be the return of Wesley to the attacking trio, alongside Pedro Henrique and Yuri Alberto. Therefore, Romero would be an option on the bench.

The likely Corinthians to face Fluminense must have Carlos Miguel; Fagner, Félix Torres, Cacá and Hugo (Matheus Bidu); Raniele, Breno Bidon and Rodrigo Garro; Wesley, Yuri Alberto and Pedro Henrique.

Still without winning or scoring goals in the Brasileirão, Corinthians is trying for its first victory to avoid an even bigger crisis with the possibility of ending the round in the bottom position. Timão opens the round in second to last place, with just one point in three rounds.
