A teacher is being accused of sending erotic photos, giving alcoholic drinks and having sex with “at least” one student. The sequence of crimes would have taken place in Slidell, in the State of Louisiana, in the United States.
Alexa Wingerter, 35 years old, has been investigated by local police since March 2024. Initial complaints received by authorities were that she was having “inappropriate relationships” with students at Slidell High School.
Police conducted several interviews and then issued search warrants. During the investigation, information came to light that she had “sent photos and exchanged messages” with underage students.
Furthermore, there is evidence that Alexa had a sexual relationship with one of the minors. “Evidence was also found that she was purchasing alcoholic beverages for her students at local bars in Slidell,” the Slidell police representative said.
Under Louisiana law, sexual acts between an educator and a student are illegal when the student is 17 or older but under 21, and the teacher is more than four years older than the student. The teacher was arrested and is awaiting trial.
