High-luxury condominium in Barra goes to court and cites ‘conservative bias’ of residents to prevent recording of reality show | Rio de Janeiro

Residents of the condominium Villas do Bosque, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio, went to court to try to prevent a reality show from being recorded in one of the houses in the neighborhood. According to the petition, the behavior of the participants clashes with the “conservative bias” of the residents.

“It sounds great: fun, joyful, adult entertainment streamed over the internet. But, in truth, these events are unbearable in the eyes of neighbors who have their privacy invaded and their peace evidently disturbed by an event that is not in line with the moral values ​​of that community, whose desire for tranquility and peace is very relevant”, he says. the request.

The Association of Residents of Vivendas do Bosque (Amobosque), which manages the luxury condominium in the neighborhood, mentions that the inconveniences have been occurring since the end of 2023, during parties and day use, and is seeking an injunction to stop the recordings of the program 40 Degree Mansion.

With videos of young influencers practicing dances, the reality show tries to promote itself on social media. With more than 70 thousand followers on Instagram, the program calls itself the “mansion where sport, lifestyle and entertainment meet to create experiences”.

The residents’ association’s request was forwarded to the 3rd Civil Court of the Barra da Tijuca Region and speaks of people walking around in bathing suits in common parts of the condominium, drones capturing images of a neighboring house and sponsorship of betting houses.

The implementation of the program mobilized the residents of the condominium: 118 of the 149 houses that make up Vivendas do Bosque signed a petition that was attached to the process. Amobosque also listed arguments to request urgency when considering the application, they are:

1. there is evident exercise of antisocial behavior;
2. there is a deviation from the residential purpose, that is, the space would be used for commercial purposes;
3. there is damage to the peace and values ​​of that community;
4. The reality show ends on 04/25/2024.

Mansão 40degrees would end its activities and recordings on April 25th. In the injunction, the condominium owners ask:

• immediate stoppage of the event, under penalty of a daily fine of R$15,000;
• payment of compensation in the amount of R$ 150 thousand for losses and damages, if the injunction is not judged before the end of the recordings.
