Actor who plays Greg from ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ declares himself to Brazil, and fans go crazy – Zoeira

Brazilian internet users went crazy with the publication by Vicent Martella, popularly known as Greg from “Everybody Hates Chris”. This Sunday (31), the American actor shared a image in which he appears wearing a t-shirt with the phrase “I am famous in Brazil”.

Fans, almost instantly, commented on the publication with statements from the series’ characters. “Man, Brazil is so into you”, joked one fan. “Did you buy the shirt with Perigo?” said another. “Everyone loves Greg and hates Chris,” wrote another. “You look really cool with that shirt,” declared another fan.

The 31-year-old actor was part of the cast of the series “Everybody Hates Chris”, produced between 2005 and 2009. It is an adaptation of comedian Chris Rock’s adolescence and the outskirts of New York in the 1980s.

Although it portrays North American reality, the series has more fans in Brazil than in the United States, and its cast is revered by fans here to this day, almost 20 years after its debut on TV. Themes such as racism, poverty and family relationships brought Brazilians closer to foreign production.
