The band Joelho de Porco was very important within the national rock scene of the 1970s. In addition to leaving you with iconic albums such as “Saqueando a Cidade”, the band revealed bassist Gerson Tatini, future member of Moto Perpétuo, who in turn presented Guilherme Arantes to Brazil.
Drummer and vocalist Próspero Albanese was one of the prominent figures and continued producing material over the following decades. In an episode of the B3+1 podcast, music producer João Marcelo Bôscoli commented on the occasion when Próspero paid a visit to his studio and a bizarre situation happened.

“I remember Joelho de Porco well. There was a photographer who came to shows with a pig’s nose. The lead singer for a while was Próspero Albanese, who also sings a lot. He came to my studio the other day and was very curious. It was the first time I saw someone warning about this as a matter of public health and safety.

He was setting up the voice equipment in the studio and he said, ‘Guys, don’t come in here. When I release one, it can’t get in. I am not kidding. You’re going to be sick’. He asked seriously! They said we would regret it. He said he can’t handle it himself. This was at the studio I’m a partner in. And look, there’s an exhaust fan there that’s stronger than the air conditioning. He wasn’t being ironic, it was serious business. I didn’t go in! It’s a disgusting thing, right? [risos]. Since the conversation is weird people.”
