Nintendo met with its investors and board of directors to release data from its most recent fiscal quarter. The period covered refers to the third quarter of the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 — from January to March 2024.
In a statement released through his social networks, the company’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, stated for the first time that the company will announce successor to Nintendo Switch during current fiscal year (until March 2025) and which, in addition, must carry out a Nintendo Direct in June this year to focus on games that will be released for the Nintendo Switch family of systems during the second half of 2024.
As a result, it is expected that the new system — mentioned publicly for the first time — will feature an announcement separate from the Nintendo Direct itself, which was scheduled for June.
