According to research carried out by the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, WhatsApp is today people’s main source of information.

Thus, the instant communication platform currently has more than 136 million users in Brazil and is one of the most used means of communication in the world.

Thus, 2024 proved to be a promising year for new changes and updates to the messenger application. The company Meta announced a new phase of updates for it.

Even with the recent update, in March, of new emojis and the new conversation layout, WhatsApp will undergo new changes.

The watershed date, according to the company, will be April 11, 2024. The Goal will make changes to some guidelines, in addition to formulating new regulations and conditions of use.

Due to recent requirements regarding terms of operation, definition of users, among others made by the European Union, the messenger will have new features and regulations.

From that date onwards, minors aged 13 and over will be allowed to register and use the platform regularly.

Another possible feature announced and that has caused a lot of talk is Interoperability.

With the tool, it will be possible to chat with people not only from WhatsApp to WhatsApp, but also to transfer, chat and even call from another application that is not Meta and that has a similar structure.

This way, interoperability will allow you to use Telegram or Signal and have everything reflected on Mark Zuckerberg’s platform.
