According to a North Korean defector, dictator Kim Jong-un annually selects 25 young virgins to join his “Pleasure Squad”. These young women are chosen based on criteria of appearance and political loyalty.
According to information from Extra/Globo, Yeonmi Park, 30, revealed that she was selected twice to serve the dictator and the main leaders of the Communist Party, but ended up not being chosen due to her “family status”.

“They visit every classroom and even go to school playgrounds in case they miss someone cute. When they meet beautiful girls, the first thing they do is check their family status and political status. They eliminate all girls with family members who escaped North Korea or who have relatives in South Korea or other countries.”
After this screening, successful candidates undergo medical examinations to confirm their virginity. Any small defect, such as a scar, can lead to disqualification. The rigorous selection results in only a small group of girls from across North Korea, who are then sent to Pyongyang. Once selected, these young women’s only function is to please the dictator.
Park also stated that living conditions in North Korea are so poor that parents happily “accept” their daughters being recruited into the “Pleasure Squad” as this means that at least they will not starve.
