Capcom revealed on social media how to execute Akuma’s famous Raging Demon (Shun Goku Satsu) with ‘Modern’ controls in Street Fighter 6.

The Modern controls, if you don’t remember, are an option to perform special moves in an easier way. With one button and one direction, you can perform a character attack. As for Supers, just press two buttons and also a direction. The downside to this type of control is that you lose access to some of your fighter’s ‘normal’ moves and also deal less damage overall.

That said, as Raging Demon is a very strong move that is balanced by its “abnormal” execution (weak punch, weak punch, front, weak kick and strong punch), the question arose as to what the command would be like in Modern.

On your social networks, the https://twitter.com/StreetFighter/status/1785731847550296481 Akuma’s Modern command list. See below.

Note that Raging Demon continues to have a similar execution, but without the forward direction. There will be no shortcut to the coup.

To better understand the images above: the first shows the Modern command for each Super in the form of a shortcut (as previously stated, just two buttons and one direction). Raging Demon cannot be run this way.

The second image shows another way to activate the Supers. Even though you are in Modern, if you perform directional inputs and press a button, Super will also be executed. The difference to classic control is that you need to press weak for Lv. 1, medium for Lv. 2 and strong for Lv. 3.

Now, considering this second scenario, it will be possible to perform Akuma’s Raging Demon in Modern. The difference is that you will need to press weak, weak, medium and strong to do it (since in Modern there is no difference between punch and kick on the buttons). In other words, even though it is a little more complex, it is still easier, as there is no “front”.

It is not yet known which Raging Demon command is in the classic commands, but it is expected that the “front” will be present.

Akuma will be released on May 22nd for Street Fighter 6.
