This Wednesday, the 1st, Mariana used Instagram to counter the negative comments. “Even though I have no choice, I feel exhausted. Even though I have no choice because I didn’t choose to swim against it, I simply have nowhere else to go or be. I arrived here because nothing could be different. I act out of instinct and the confidence of being in my perfect place and time,” she began.

“My choices defined me, defending them even more so, because, by having to defend anything, the precious energy allocated to me is already wasted”, reflected Mariana.

According to her, she gained “many labels given by the most different lenses of the most different people”. “But we are finally what we are, far beyond what we do. There are many adjectives, and we are captivated by their use. Easier to label to understand than to live together, talk, get to know more. We are all numb, lazy to live well, addicted to our exhaustion to obtain the status arising from an unhealthy collective mentality”, she added.

“One night of sleep and I already forget about the exhaustion that I will not choose to hold on to. The penalty doesn’t leave me so easily, I still lack practice”, concluded Mariana.

In “Conversa com Bial” this Tuesday, 30th, Ana Maria Braga commented on her daughter’s lifestyle, and said she was worried about Mariana’s choice to have natural births at home.

“I think that natural childbirth is a very healthy and legal thing, when you do it in a place where there is the possibility of getting help”, he began.

The presenter said that she leaves support available to her daughter. “The most I can do is put everyone on duty and if anything happens there is an ambulance that can arrive. The conversation sometimes gets difficult. She has her arguments and I have mine, but it’s no use: she’s already 40 years old, it’s her life, the children are hers, it’s her responsibility,” she declared.
