A group of Brazilian big wave surfers have been in Rio Grande do Sul since Monday (6) working to rescue flood victims in RS. Pedro Scooby and Lucas Chumbo mobilized several colleagues, who are riding jet skis in flooded cities to help the people of Rio Grande do Sul.

Along with Pedro Scooby, there are surfers Lucas Chumbo, Iankel Noronha, Michelle Bouillons, Fabiano Tissot, Will Santana, Felipe Cesarano, Alemão de Maresias and Ian Cosenza. Other volunteers are also helping with the cause, such as MMA fighter Reyzinho Duarte and jet ski pilots.

The surfers brought jet skis, which they usually use to pull, leave and rescue in the waves, as well as vests and supplies to add to donations for those affected by the flood in RS.
There are already 90 deaths due to the floods that are ravaging RS. According to the Civil Defense bulletin released at 9am this Tuesday (7), there are still 132 people missing and 361 injured.
