Santos drops to fourth place after the start of the third round of Series B

O Santos fell to fourth place in Series B of the 2024 Brazilian Championship after playing the first games in the third round of the competition. Peixe enters the field this Monday, at 9 pm, to face Guaraniin Vila Belmiro.

The provisional leadership of the Serie B he is with Sport, who beat Coritiba 1-0 last Friday, in Curitiba, and reached nine points in the standings. The winning goal for the Pernambuco team was scored by Gustavo Coutinho, after an assist from Lucas Lima.

The runner-up is Goiás, who beat Brusque 2-0, away from home, and reached seven points in the standings. The Goiás team’s goals were scored by Paulo Baya and Marcão.

Third place goes to Chapecoense, who drew 2-2 with América-MG last Saturday, at Arena Condá, and also reached seven points. Mário Sérgio and Bruno Leonardo scored the home team’s goals and Fabinho and Alê scored for the Minas Gerais team.
