Palmeiras beat Cuiabá 2-0 this Sunday, the 5th, and Abel Ferreira spoke about the brilliance of his young players who once again helped Verdão win an important match in the biggest football competition in our country.
Abel Ferreira celebrated the result and the opportunity to be the coach of Luís Guilherme, Estevão and Endrick, three young left-footers who never stop enchanting the Palmeiras fans with such maturity and talent.
“It’s a pleasure to be a coach for these kids, I’m going to enjoy it as long as they’re here with us. Endrick really is a machine, such a young kid with so much joy inside him, unfortunately he’s going to have to leave us, he left with open arms, upset about having missed that shot, I say he’s a nice little guy, we like him, he knows that wherever he goes, he’s going to take a little bit of us”, said Abel Ferreira.
Abel, who in the middle of the week asked Leila Pereira to hold Estevão until 2027, was sincere today and said that it will be difficult for Palmeiras not to soon lose another jewel created in their youth category.
“I know I ask Leila not to sell them, but it’s impossible. Let’s enjoy them while there’s still time, I’ll enjoy them while they’re here with us”, concluded the coach.
Palmeiras now becomes the key to the Libertadores and Alviverde fans dream of Abel Ferreira choosing Luís Guilherme, Estevão and Endrick as starters in Uruguay.
