Fernando Seabra was unable to be the official coach of the cruise at the game against Unión La Calera because it does not have the PRO License, required by Conmebol for coaches to work in competitions such as the Copa Sudamericana. But why doesn’t the professional, who heads one of the biggest clubs in Brazil, have it?

According to him, due to his work leading the under-20 Celeste team, between 2023 and the beginning of 2024, when he led the Crias to the Copinha final. “Due to the base’s calendar, I wasn’t able to do the remaining days of face-to-face classes during my leave. I have all my work submitted. There are two modules, and I managed to do one,” he said.

“But in preparation for the Copa São Paulo, it gets complicated. It was supposed to be finished, but the calendar didn’t allow it. There are only a few days left to watch, and, having the card, I can sign as head coach”, concluded Seabra.

On Tuesday night (23/4), in Concepción, Chile, Fernando Seabra was signed up by Cruzeiro as a physical trainer. The official coach was his assistant, Moisés Moura, who arrived at Toca da Raposa recently.

Paulo Autuori, more experienced and current technical director, could also have assumed this role. In the previous international commitment, in the 3-3 draw with Alianza, the Brazilian club obtained a provisional license for Seabra to play at Mineirão.

In practice, the work of professionals does not change much, as Seabra was able to remain on the bench and in the technical area, giving instructions to the team against La Calera. Moisés gave official Conmebol interviews.
