FRANCISCO ROSA MASTER BODYBOARDING STAGE 2024

Despite the adrenaline of the disputes, the biggest highlight of this event was the atmosphere of friendship and commitment to the sport on the part of all participants, athletes, family members, sponsors, supporters, spectators, fans and supporters of the sport.

The great turnout demonstrates the feeling that transformed Praia da Taíba and the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante-CE into the Brazilian Capital of Bodyboarding, with the presence of representatives from 14 States from 4 regions, all involved in the atmosphere of fraternization and strengthening of a important category, made up of true protagonists and, at the same time, witnesses of history!

A atmosphere The entire event was full of high spirits and the experiences shared by everyone who was present, and even by those who followed on the internet, both from all over Brazil and from other countries, will forever be marked in their memories.

“We are very happy with what we were able to deliver. We gave ourselves to the maximum and spared no effort to make this event a milestone for the sport. The challenges were enormous, we had to deal with intense rain, lightning and many other things that were not under our control. But, we cannot forget that the rain that can be a bit disruptive is the same one that leaves the sea smooth and perfect, and difficulties serve to make us improve and that is our intention. We did the best we could, but we know we can do even better and that’s why our work cannot stop. I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who in some way contributed to making this dream come true”, stated Marcelo Barros, President of FBCE.

For Paulo de Tarso “Mano”, what was experienced in this event was historic, not only on a national level, but also on a global level.

“I would like to thank everyone who made this event, the realization of this dream, possible! Every sponsor, every supporter, every person! What we saw in those days was historic for world bodyboarding. A true reunion of friends. A celebration of a nation through sport. For the first time in the world, bodyboarding has the opening of a Master circuit, and also with high waves, waves never seen in another event, at Pico Tom Morey, honoring Francisco Rosa. This has never been seen before and everyone here can consider themselves witnesses of history, because, in this event, we wrote together an important chapter in the history of our sport. I would even say, a perfect chapter!”, concluded Mano.

AULÃO WITH NEYMARA CARVALHO

Five-time world champion, Neymara Carvalho promoted a social bodyboarding class for children from Taíba.

In a partnership between ArcelorMittal and the Neymara Carvalho Institute, people of all ages had the opportunity to learn the basics of the sport.

Athlete Neymara Carvalho, five-time world bodyboarding champion, sponsored by ArcelorMittal, led a social class on Saturday (30/04), at Taíba beach, in São Gonçalo do Amarante. The program took place from 8 am to 10 am, at Pico Tom Morey do Morro do Chapéu, during the Francisco Rosa Stage of the Brazilian Master Bodyboarding Circuit 2024.

The Bodyboarding Aulão was an inclusive action, for all levels of knowledge of the sport, including local residents and attracting people of all ages, especially children. At the meeting, the bodyboarder shared her experiences and learnings, from sport to life, in the company of her daughter Luna Hardman. The initiative was a partnership between ArcelorMittal and the Neymara Carvalho Institute.
