Events take place on the 3rd and 4th of May, respectively, in the west of the city
After a major edition held on March 23, at Arena 1 of the Olympic Park, the LFA announced another event for Rio de Janeiro, this time at Ribalta, in Barra da Tijuca. It will be on May 3rd, one day before UFC 301, which takes place just a few kilometers away.
There are no fights announced yet, but big names on the Brazilian scene can be expected, as, due to the UFC being held in Rio, the presence of important executives from the biggest MMA company in the world is expected. It is worth remembering that the LFA is the event that reveals the most fighters for Ultimate.
“The proximity of LFA 183 to UFC 301 creates an atmosphere of international prominence, in which the eyes of the entire world will be focused on the weekend in Rio. It is a great opportunity for fighters to gain even more visibility”highlighted Rafael Feijãopresident of LFA in South America.

Considered the largest MMA fighter development league on the planet, the LFA has already sent more than 300 athletes to the UFC; of this amount, around 60% remained signed with the biggest event in the world. Last year alone, 38 fighters took this route.
