“I’ve never been to a psychiatrist. I should, I think I should go”, commented Ana, who then recalled that she had already been to an appointment years ago. However, the experience was not satisfactory.

“I went once, I think it was the first time I went… And I had a very personal problem of mine, very intimate. So I went there, I started telling him a story. He was really good. He had a crystal table, you know? The one with a huge, thick crystal glass. I started talking to him, at the height of my emotional abandonment to him. He looked here, he looked at his watch and said: ‘look, here’s what you’re going to do, you make an appointment with my secretary and then we’ll continue’. So, boy, there was some heavy business on the table, so I was there. I got up, threw that thing on the table. He dismantled the table, because it was glass, it was crystal, that guy was very fancy and he left. I didn’t pay for the appointment, I left and I never went back to a psychiatrist. What a lack of sensitivity”, he recalled.

Death of Tom Veiga

In the program, Ana Maria remembered the death of Tom Veiga, interpreter of Louro José, who passed away in November 2020. The presenter watched an excerpt from “Mais Você” in which she talked about her friend’s death and said that she did not consider not working in this day. “This period was in the middle of the pandemic. And there, we were in the kitchen of my house, we started broadcasting the program from there at that time. There was no way not to tell (about the death), there was no way not to talk … I was going to get there the other day and say, ‘Did Tom die yesterday?’… It was something like that that, for us, for me, there still isn’t an explanation to this day”, she stated, who also cited the arrival of Louro Mané (Fabio Caniatto) as the morning attraction.

“I spent a year thinking… But the show must go on. At first it seemed like we were invading something sacred, his (Tom’s) universe… I asked for permission, I prayed, I ordered a mass, I talked, I dreamed a lot about him and then after a while I said that the time had come for us to continue. And Fábio is an exceptional boy. Life is so generous to me”, said Ana.
