Four people died and 28 others were injured in a Russian missile attack on residential buildings and civil infrastructure in the city of Odessa, in southern Ukraine. The attack took place this Monday (29), according to regional governor Oleh Kiper.
“Three women and one man died. According to an updated report, 28 people were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman,” Governor Oleg Kiper declared on Telegram.
One of the targets of the attacks was the Gothic-style building known locally as “Harry Potter Castle”, which was completely destroyed. The building earned its nickname due to its similarity to Hogwarts Castle portrayed in the films. The building is part of the Odessa Law Academy.
The attack comes as Ukraine waits for military supplies promised by the United States and Europe.

This Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its forces had taken the village of Semenivka. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said new Western supplies had started to arrive, but slowly.
Kiper added that the attack damaged “homes and civilian infrastructure.” According to the governor, a four-year-old boy is “very serious”, six adults are in intensive care and a man died of a heart attack caused by the attack.
Odessa, a port in southwestern Ukraine, is a reference for exports and is a regular target of missile and drone bombings. Furthermore, Russian troops claimed this Monday (29) to have taken the town of Semenivka, in the east, and the day before they said they controlled Novobakhmutivka, a village also on the eastern front.
