UFC standout and Anderson Silva’s partner suggests a duel against Alex Poatan: ‘fans want to see’

Former training partner Anderson Silva and currently placed eighth in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 93kg.), Khalil Rountree Jr. wants to make noise to receive fight against Alex Poatan. At a great moment in his career, the former kickboxing athlete shows that he is certain that the confrontation against the Brazilian would stir the emotions of fans of mixed martial arts.

“I think he (Pereira) is good, he’s great. He is the champion. I think he’s the champion for a reason. He has great experience in scams. Personally, I think the two of us, me against Alex, honestly, when I see this fight happening, when it happens, because it will happen, it’s the fight that all the fans want. This is the fight the fans want, whether for the belt or not. This is the fight the fans want to see,” said Khalil in an interview with ‘JAXXON PODCAST’.

Riding on the back of five consecutive victories in the organization, Khalil hasn’t known what it’s like to lose since 2021. Known for his great knockout power and stand-up skills, the American has accumulated nine fast-track wins in his career. Currently placed eighth in the rankings, ‘The War Horse’ as he is known, has no fight scheduled at the moment.
