After defeating Brusque, away from home, the Basketball Santos / Fupes / BlueMed / Instituto de Rosis ended the first round of Brazilian Men’s Basketball Championship in the lead, with seven points, with three wins in four games.

Playing away from home, the region’s team beat Brusque 83 to 81, last Wednesday (27), in a match valid for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship.

The game was disputed from start to finish, with both teams exchanging baskets. The first half ended with the Baixada Santista team leading, 40 to 32. The game continued and Brusque improved, but was unable to take the lead at the end, losing 83 to 81.

Gabriel Oliveira, with 14 points and five rebounds, was named player of the match by CBB. As a reward for being the man of the match, Gabriel received a full scholarship from Unicesumar.

Basquete Santos’ next game is only on April 18th, against Basket Osasco, the team responsible for the Santos team’s only defeat in the championship. The game takes place at Arena Santos, at 7:30 pm.
