The group stage of the 8th TV Tribuna School Basketball Cup ends this Monday (1st). In total, four matches, all in the men’s category, will be held, defining the last classified in the round of 16. The round starts at 6:45 pm, at the Fefis gym.
Two of the games are valid for G4. In both, UME Professor Mário de Almeida Alcântara will be in action. First, she faces Santa Inês. Later, at the end of the bracket, the rival will be Universitas. The clashes decide the classification of the group and also who remains in the fight for the title.
For the G3, which already has President Kennedy in the lead, Santa Cecília and Escola Americana de Santos face each other, to secure the one in second place. The winner of the duel moves on to the next stage.
In fact, Liceu São Paulo and Integração experience the same situation, but for G1. As Monteiro Lobato has already secured the best campaign, the two schools playing this Monday will compete for second place. The winner continues in the dispute.
The TV Tribuna School Basketball Cup is an event held by TV Tribuna, a Globo affiliate in Baixada Santista and Vale do Ribeira and organized by the National Sports Association with support from the Sports secretariat of Santos City Hall.
The objective is to encourage the practice of sport, contextualized as an educational instrument, promoting improved quality of life, integration, social and sporting exchange and student fraternization, enabling the emergence of new values in the sport, as well as disseminating and develop your practice in the region.
