In an interview with ESPN in the draw for the group stage of the competition, in Luque, Paraguay, the club’s sports planning director, Fred, reaffirmed his desire for the defender to return, with whom President Mario Bittencourt holds almost weekly conversations.
Now it was the turn of Tricolor’s own boss to talk about these dialogues and keep Fluminense’s doors open for Thiago Silva’s return.
“I’m a very good friend of Thiago, I talk to him about various subjects and not just about coming to Fluminense,” Bittencourt told the portal ge. “At the moment we have nothing, but we have a huge desire for him to return home. From what we have heard, his contract with Chelsea ends in the middle of the year and he would not renew it.”
