During the “Futsummit” event, Internacional’s historic idol stated that authorizing and using nine athletes born outside the country takes away investment from the base and prevents the creation of an identity between young people and the teams.

“I read something about nine foreigners being allowed in Brazilian Series A teams. Damn, close the club! You will spend 50 or 60 million reais per year on base. If you don’t have a base, close it! How will you create identity? There is no longer a player who stays at a club for eight years”, began Abel Braga, who also expressed concern about the lack of promise in the Clube do Povo team.
