After some changes in the lead at the beginning of the match, Osasco mounted a good sequence of attacks and took a five-point lead. With many attacking errors and unable to find their footing in the match, Pinheiros was unsuccessful in getting closer to the lead and saw their opponent close the first set 25-16.
