In the group stage, Bragantino beat Santos 1-0, playing at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium, in Bragança Paulista. After the match, the club’s official profile on the social network “X” published the word “Arêrê”, in reference to the song sung by rivals after Peixe fell to Series B of the Brazilian Championship.

This Wednesday, Santos’ profile responded on the same social network and published a response to Bragantino’s post: “Arerê… I’m going to play in the final and you?”

Santos won with goals scored by Joaquim, Guilherme and Giuliano. Striker Eduardo Sasha, who already defended Peixe, scored against Bragantino.

Now, Peixe awaits the winner of the other semifinal, played between Palmeiras and Novorizontino. The teams face each other this Thursday, at 9:35 pm, at Allianz Parque.

For the first match of the final, the team led by coach Fábio Carille will not be able to count on right-back Hayner, who was sent off in the game against Bragantino. On the other hand, midfielder Otero, who was suspended, returns to the team.
