“Sports Highlights of the Year” award is presented by the Chamber this Wednesday

Ceremonial session takes place from 7:30 pm and is open to the entire public

The “Sports Highlights of the Year” award will be handed out this Wednesday (27) during a solemn session at the Americana City Council to the sportspeople who stood out in the municipality. The ceremony will be open to the public and will take place in the Dr. Antônio Álvares Lobo Plenary, starting at 7:30 pm and broadcast live on TV Câmara and the plenary’s social networks (Facebook and Youtube).

The winning athletes were the highlights in carrying out their activities during the year 2023 in Americana, in total 61 male and female athletes are included, as well as sport managers, coaches and journalists.

The award-winning athletes were nominated by representatives of the sports and five nominated by the Sports secretariat, including athletes, coaches, technical committee members, managers and employees. Two sports press professionals were also nominated to also receive awards.

The award is made through a draft legislative decree authored by the councilor of the 15th, 16th and 17th legislatures, Odair Dias (PV). “The objective of the award is to stimulate and recognize the commitment of athletes, former athletes, coaches, members of technical committees, managers and supporters of the various sports practiced in our municipality”highlighted the author in the presentation of the project.
