Porsche owner who crashed and killed app driver in SP presents himself to the police

Businessman and student Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24 years old, presented himself this Monday afternoon (1st) at a Civil Police station in São Paulo. He was driving a Porsche valued at more than R$1 million that crashed into a Renault Sandero in the early hours of last Sunday (31). The app driver who was driving the other vehicle died in the accident, while Fernando fled the scene with the help of his mother.

Fernando arrived at around 4pm at the 30th Police District, in Tatuapé, the same neighborhood as the accident. He presented himself almost 40 hours after the accident and, according to his lawyers, was in a state of shock because of what happened. He was accompanied by a lawyer and was taken to a room, where he continues to give a statement.

O businessman and student Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24, crashed a Porsche valued at R$1 million in a Renault Sandero in the early hours of this Sunday (31), on an avenue in Tatuapé, in the east zone of São Paulo. According to the incident report, the Porsche driver, identified as Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, aged 24, was above the maximum speed on the road, which is 50 km/h. After the accident, the driver’s mother went to the scene and stated that she would take her son to a hospital in Ibirapuera because he had a wound in his mouth. The military ended up releasing Fernando and he left with his mother. However, when they arrived at the hospital to collect the driver’s version and take a breathalyzer test, they were informed that the man had not been admitted to any hospital in the network.

The app driver who was driving the Renault, Ornaldo da Silva Viana, aged 52, was rescued by firefighters with a cardiorespiratory arrest, but died shortly after being admitted to a hospital in Tatuapé. Ornaldo was alone at the time of the accident.

The Military Police tried to contact the businessman who was driving the Porsche by phone, but were unsuccessful. He continues to be wanted. The incident was initially recorded as manslaughter, negligent bodily injury while driving a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
