The second round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship ended on Monday night with Mirassol’s 3-2 victory over Ceará, at the José Maria de Campos Maia stadium, in Mirassol (SP).
With the 2-0 victory over Avaí last Saturday, the Santos took the lead in the competition, with six points gained and a difference of four goals. Sport, Chapecoense and Operário-PR also have six points, but only three goals difference. The Pernambuco team is second in the number of goals scored (5), the Santa Catarina team is third (4 goals scored) and the Paraná team is fourth (three goals).
We had 20 goals in the second round, an average of two per game. There were five victories for home teams, three for visitors and only two draws in the round. In addition to Peixe’s victory, Goiás also stands out, who beat Ponte Preta 3-0.
