Nine days after the dismissal of Alexandre Mattos, Vasco remains without an executive director of football. The club has more than one name on the table, has started contacts and recently accelerated the search to fill the most important chair in football.

Vasco understands that it must prioritize targets with a history of good relationships at the clubs they have been to, from employees to the group of players. And there must also be harmony with SAF’s internal processes.

It is unlikely that Vasco will look for a director who arrives with the same hype that Mattos arrived with – at the time, the multi-champion professional for Cruzeiro, Palmeiras and Atlético-MG was treated with the status of a great signing and greatly celebrated by the fans.
