Alexandre Lima’s wake was open to the public at 10am and will continue until 5pm, at Palácio Sônia Cabral, in the center of Vitória.

Died in the early hours of this Thursday, 28, at the age of 54, the musician Alexandre Lima. He had been in a coma for ten years. The artist was one of the voices of the group animal and built his career in the area of ​​culture Holy Spirit.

O artist was left in a coma after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest. The cause of the stop was a aortic aneurysm. According to TV Gazeta, a Globo affiliate in the state, Alexandre fell ill on November 29, 2013, during a work meeting. At the time, he was the Secretary of Culture of Victory.

Musician Amaro Lima, Alex’s brother, published a photo of the two together on social media and wrote his last tributes. “My brother, God called you, but the boat of love that you made continues to sail. One day, we will meet again to exchange the same old thing”, he said.

Renato Casagrande, governor of Espírito Santo, also mourned the artist’s death. “The great musician Alexandre Lima has rested. With his talent and charisma, he took Espírito Santo culture to various stages in Brazil and the world. His trajectory inspires new generations. I leave my hug of comfort to his family and friends in this moment of farewell.”

Alexandre Lima’s wake was open to the public at 10am and will continue until 5pm, at Palácio Sônia Cabral, in the center of Vitória. The burial will take place at the Parque da Paz Cemetery. The ceremony will be restricted to family members.
