Abril Pro Rock Festival takes place on March 29th and 30th, in Recife

This second night also features the Colombian Bloody Nightmare, who makes her debut at Abril Pro Rock, and the American Master. Amid the rush of shows, the group’s lead singer sent a special message to Recife’s fans.

“Hello, this is Paul Speckmann, lead singer of Master! I’m looking forward to playing in Recife again after many years and especially at the Abril Pro Rock festival.” Rot and Kamala, from São Paulo, and Ereboros, from Rio, are also on the setlist.

The underground rock scene in Recife took its first steps at the end of the 1970s. At the beginning of the 1990s, when Abril Pro Rock emerged, this musical style was already more intense, with several bands already formed under the influence of Sepultura, Nirvana , Ratos de Porão, Mukeka di Rato and Dead Fish. The festival becomes one of the spaces to give visibility to local bands.

In this 31st edition, it is no different. The bands Janete Saiu Para Beber and Insânia complete the set list with Odiosa, O Cão and Infectos.

Caravans

One of the hallmarks of Abril Pro Rock are the caravans that arrive from the most diverse Brazilian states, bringing underground rock fans. Silas Fernandes, from the city of Mossoró, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, participated in the last two editions and is already packed to attend another one.
