The National Council of Justice (CNJ) will hold, from May 13th to 17th, the second edition of the Register campaign throughout Brazil.

The movement’s main aim is to expand access to basic documentation for all Brazilians in situations of vulnerability and social invisibility.

In Pernambuco, through the Association of Registrars of Natural Persons of the State of Pernambuco (Arpen-PE), all civil registration offices in the state will operate during extended hours, from 8 am to 6 pm, with a focus on serving the needy population to update their information. your certificates free of charge.

The president of Arpen-PE, Marcos Torres, classified the initiative as important and necessary so that the most socially vulnerable people who do not yet have their identification documents can access them in a practical and easy way.

“Certificates are fundamental elements in accessing state and federal public policies, in addition to being a bridge to the removal of other documents, such as ID, work card, voter registration card and CPF, for example,” explains Marcos.

The civil registry offices of Paulista (RMR) and Porta Larga, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes (RMR), will be offering the free collection of birth and marriage certificates, in addition to ID, in partnership with the Tavares Buril Identification Institute, from the Secretariat of Social Defense.

In Petrolina, in the hinterland, the certificates will be collected at the registry office, and the ID request will be made at Expresso Cidadão in River Shopping. The other registry offices will be available to collect duplicate birth and marriage certificates, always free of charge for the needy population.

“In partnership with the CNJ and the Court of Justice of Pernambuco, we hope to expand access to basic civil documentation, in addition to eradicating the deficit of birth certificates in the state.”, concluded Torres.
