Water transport operators were called to update their registration by next Monday, May 13th. The information must be updated in person at the Arcon customer service desk, at Rua dos Pariquis, nº 1907, Batista Campos neighborhood, in Belém and at the Cidadania Stations in Marabá, Santarém and Parauapebas, and can also be sent by email to the email address: [email protected].

This need for registration updating was communicated through circular letter No. 002/2024, issued by the General Director of ARTRAN and sent to all operators with pending issues.

Later this month, the Agency for Regulation and Control of Public Transport Services (Artran), recently created by the Government of Pará, will definitively assume Arcon’s responsibilities regarding public intercity waterway and road passenger transport services in Pará.

Pursuant to State Law No. 10,308, the Agency began to assume the activities of regulation, control and inspection of the provision of public transport services and transport infrastructure in Pará.

Artran’s Road Transport Coordination clarifies that, currently, the ARTRAN and ARCON agencies are in the phase of transferring activities. The definitive separation will take place on June 27th, the date that marks the end of the transition period, when Artran will receive the registrations of all operators, already duly updated.

DOCUMENTATION – Among the documents requested are proof of: registration in the National Register of Legal Entities — CNPJ, issued by the Federal Revenue Service; registration in the taxpayer register of the State of Pará, relevant to their field of activity and compatible with the object of the service regulated by Arcon, issued by the State Secretariat of Finance (Sefa); of regularity with the Federal Treasury/active debt of the Union/National Institute of Social Security (INSS) (single joint document); and regularity with the State Treasury — Tax and Non-Tax Certificates.
