Six cities in Santa Catarina were selected by PAC Seleções in the Resistant and Resilient Cities axis. The proposals were chosen in the “Natural Disaster Prevention: Slope Containment” modality. The list includes Balneário Piçarras, Blumenau, Bom Retiro, Camboriú, Florianópolis and Jaraguá do Sul. In the set of proposals, R$ 74 million were approved. Other PAC modalities also served municipalities in Santa Catarina, such as, for example, for the renewal of the public transport fleet, with purchase of electric buses.

The proposals were presented by city halls last year. Blumenau had approval of proposals for intervention in 14 locations. Containment in the Escola Agrícola neighborhood took the largest share, R$25 million. For Florianópolis, R$20 million was approved. The resource for Jaraguá do Sul will be used in the Rau neighborhood. The survey was released by the office of deputy Pedro Uczai (PT).
