The World Cup Legacy is closer to becoming a reality in Acre. The start of works depended on the issuance of the construction permit issued by the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Mobility Infrastructure (Seinfra). The FFAC leader mediated the resolution of the bureaucracy with the Rio Branco City Hall and the CBF.

– This process had been going on for more than two years at city hall. Now that the city hall has released it – said Antônio Aquino Lopes in an interview with gethis Monday (6).

According to the president of FFAC, a bidding process will be initiated to hire the company that will take on the work. Due to the delay in issuing the construction permit, the company that had previously won the bid withdrew from the service.

In Acre, the Football Development Center will have a synthetic grass field, bleachers, changing rooms and parking, for example.

As a legacy promise for the World Cup, FIFA committed to allocate US$100 million to the development of football in Brazil. Most of it would go towards building centers in 15 states that did not host the 2014 World Cup.
