Starting this Wednesday (9), registration will be open for two craft workshops at the Icoaraci Cultural Station, located at Rua Padre Júlio Maria, 937-995 (former Icoaraci Train Station). The workshops, one for customizing bags and the other for sustainable jewelry, are free. The initiative is from the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult).

The activities, which will take place between May 13th and 17th, have a total of 27 places available. The bag customization workshop, taught by Rafaela Silva, will have classes from 2pm to 6pm and will have 12 places available for participants aged 16 and over. The activity aims to teach handbag customization techniques, enabling the creation of unique accessories.

In parallel, also from Monday to Friday (13th to 17th), the sustainable jewelry workshop will be led by Michela Roque Costa. Classes will take place from 9am to 11am, with 15 places available for people aged 12 and over. The course aims to teach how to make earrings and yo-yo, encouraging the reuse of materials in the production of new items.

Registration for the workshops is free, but limited to the places available in each one. Interested parties must register in person at the Icoaraci Cultural Station by Thursday (10), during opening hours, from 9am to 5pm. The initiative aims to promote art, sustainability and the development of artistic skills among residents of the district and the region.
