Vaccination coverage against dengue reaches just 24.9% of the target audience in Santa Catarina, according to data released this Tuesday (7) by the State Department of Health (SES). The Ministry of Health’s goal is to vaccinate at least 90% of the public.

Coverage increased by less than 1% compared to last week, when was 24.19% of the target audience. Last week, was 22%.
Of the 149,394 children and adolescents between 10 and 14 years old, who make up the target audience in the Northeast and Greater Florianópolis regions, only 37,261 have been vaccinated so far. The data does not include the number of doses applied in the Middle Itajaí Valleywhich received a shipment of the vaccine last week.
In the Northeast region, which was the first to receive the batch of vaccines, on February 24, vaccination coverage is 33.41% so far. In Greater Florianópolis, which began vaccinating on April 8, 17.17% of the public has been vaccinated so far.
