After the return of water collection to 100% normalization in Novo Hamburgo this Tuesday (7), the general director of Comusa and deputy mayor of the municipality, Márcio Lüders, announced the neighborhoods already partially served. At around 3 pm, 13 locations were served, all of which are close to the company’s reservoir.
The neighborhoods are as follows: Rondônia, Canudos, Centro, Industrial, Vila Rosa, Pátria Nova, Santo Afonso, Ouro Branco, Liberdade, Primavera, Rincão, Rio Branco and Ideal. “Our reservoir has a very high amount of water, which is positive. We also continued treatment.”
Lüders reinforces that all regions of the city must have water distribution restored by Friday (10) at the latest. “After all, there are 900 kilometers of network in the city. But, our expectation is that it will return to normal sooner.” On Tuesday afternoon, the level of the Rio dos Sinos reached 8 meters in elevation.
