ALESC Agency | Assembly will donate R$5 million to State Civil Defense

The Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina will donate R$5 million from its budget to the State Civil Defense, aiming to assist municipalities in Santa Catarina that were hit by rain last week. The announcement was made by the president of Alesc, deputy Mauro De Nadal (MDB), on his social networks.

“Parliament wants to thank all people from Santa Catarina for their solidarity, for the help they give here in Santa Catarina and with our friends in Rio Grande do Sul. To help the municipalities of Santa Catarina, the Legislative Assembly will donate R$5 million ”, announced the president of the House.

According to the Communications Office of the State Secretariat for Civil Protection and Defense, 33 municipalities were affected by the rains. Most of them are located close to the border with Rio Grande do Sul, in the extreme south and mid-west of the state. Capinzal, Araranguá, Praia Grande, São João do Sul and Ipira are among the cities that recorded incidents.

De Nadal also recalled the difficulties faced by Rio Grande do Sul which, last week, suffered from torrential rain and, since the end of the week, from flooding throughout Greater Porto Alegre. He recalled that, for the neighboring state, it is possible to make donations to the Pix of the Government of the State of Rio Grande de Sul (Chave Pix CNPJ 92.958.800/0001-38)

“All help, no matter how humble, is important in this time of pain and difficulty. May everything be rebuilt and may God bless us with better days”, said De Nadal.
