Santa Catarina Scientific Police team will help identify victims in Rio Grande do Sul

Governor Jorginho Mello authorized this Sunday, the 5th, the sending of a team of professionals from the Santa Catarina Scientific Police to assist in the work of identifying victims in the climate tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul.

Specialized in advanced identification methods, this team brings its experience and technology to support local authorities in Rio Grande do Sul in this important post-flood work. The nine professionals from different areas of activity of the Scientific Police of SC will travel this Monday, 6th.

“We are united with the people of Rio Grande do Sul at this difficult time. There are helicopters, boats, vehicles, firefighters and police helping with rescues. And now comes a delicate moment, which is the identification of the victims of this tragedy. That’s why our professionals are going to Rio Grande do Sul, to help with this work”, highlighted Governor Jorginho Mello.

The general expert of the Scientific Police of Santa Catarina, Andressa Boer Fronza, made contact with the government of Rio Grande do Sul, putting the state’s structure in place. This human support and inputs for the expert work were immediately requested.

“We are sending professionals who will travel in two vehicles and the material that will be used in the identification work. It was our governor’s determination to help with whatever was needed. In contact with the government of Rio Grande do Sul, we are seeing how we can help in the best way possible”, reinforced the general expert.
