Civil police officers from the 5th DP (Mem de Sá) arrested a teenager, this Sunday (05), who was part of a criminal organization responsible for robbing tourists in Lapa, Central Region of Rio. The minor, aged 17, also committed crimes against people in a vulnerable situation.
He was already monitored by the 5th DP in an investigation into the criminal group. The teenager was located and captured while walking on the streets near Lapa. A search and seizure warrant was executed against him.
According to investigations, on April 5th of this year, the teenager committed a robbery in Lapa. At the time, two accomplices who were with him were caught red-handed.
The police also found that the young man acted aggressively to rob and take the victims’ belongings.
With several stints with the police, ‘Tourinho” has already been responsible for crimes investigated by the 5th DP in different situations, being accused, in different facts, of carrying out acts similar to the crimes of Theft, Robbery, Trafficking and association for drug trafficking.
Intelligence data collected by the district shows that the teenager is considered the nephew of the Morro dos Prazeres drug trafficking leader, Cláudio Augusto dos Santos, known as “Jiló dos Prazeres”, who in the last ten years has sought to expand his drug business in several areas. from the city center.
In recent actions carried out by the 5th DP aimed at repressing robberies in Lapa, specifically on April 5th of this year, Tourinho was caught stealing and was chased by civil police officers from the 5th DP. At the time, two teenagers who were with him during the criminal enterprise ended up being caught red-handed and he managed to escape when he noticed the police officers approaching.
