Bolsonaro’s schedule in MG is canceled after hospitalization for erysipelas

BRASILIA. The agendas of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in Minas Gerais, scheduled for Friday (10) and Saturday (11), were canceled due to his new hospitalization in Manaus, this Sunday (5), to treat erysipelas, a skin infection. This admission occurred one day after his previous discharge from the hospital for the same problem.

In addition to Belo Horizonte, the former president was scheduled to visit Contagem, in the metropolitan region, and Divinópolis, in the Center-West region of Minas, to demonstrate support for his party’s pre-candidacies.

In Contagem, Bolsonaro would meet with federal deputy and pre-candidate for mayor, Junio ​​Amaral (PL).

In Belo Horizonte, Bolsonaro would participate in an open event to launch the pre-candidacy of state deputy Bruno Engler (PL) for Belo Horizonte City Hall (PBH).

Afterwards, he would head to Divinópolis, where a meeting was planned with the city’s mayor and pre-candidate for re-election, Gleidson Azevedo (Novo).

Bolsonaro in Amazonas

Bolsonaro has been in Amazonas since Friday (3), where he met with political allies and participated in a PL event with former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.

During PL Mulher’s state event on Saturday, the former president spoke to supporters with his arm bandaged, explaining that he had been admitted with erysipelas and dehydration at Hospital Santa Júlia de Manaus. He returned to the medical center this Sunday morning (4) and will remain under observation.
