The construction of the new Júlio Müller University Hospital is already 61.20% completed, as determined by the state government. The building is located on MT-040 (which connects Cuiabá and Santo Antônio do Leverger) and is taking shape with the construction of all blocks and progress in masonry services. According to management, there has already been a visible improvement compared to a year ago, when the central block was still beginning to be built, as well as the asphalt in the parking area and for internal maneuvers.

The first structure to be built, block D, where the administrative sector will be located, is already being painted. Work in internal areas has also been developing, with the execution of electrical parts and hydraulic services. The new hospital is receiving an investment of R$221.1 million, divided between the State and the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Its total structure is around 58,300 meters of built area, on a plot of 147 hectares.

There will be eight blocks, with 228 interaction beds, 68 rest beds and 63 ICU beds, 18 pediatric and 25 neonatal. This will be the largest hospital structure in Mato Grosso. After completion of the work, the Hospital will be managed by UFMT, becoming an important space for the training of health professionals in Mato Grosso. The HUJM was planned to support the 2014 World Cup. However, the works were interrupted in 2013, with only 9% completed.
