The Task Force (FT) teams of the Santa Catarina Military Fire Department (CBMSC) received a new mission this Saturday (4) to move to Greater Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul.

According to Colonel Jefferson de Souza, deputy general commander of the CBMSC, the displacement occurs because the capital region is being severely affected by rising water levels.

Firefighters had been in the neighboring state since Wednesday (1). The teams arrived in the city of Lajeado and part of them moved to Santa Cruz do Sul.
